ZIM Updates Transpacific Shipping Network for 2025
1. Exclusive Boston Connection via ZXB Service
The updated ZXB service will now offer an exclusive direct call to the port of Boston, making it the only service connecting Asia to Boston. This provides faster transit times and broader coverage, with a direct connection from South China and Vietnam to Boston. Additionally, the ZXB offers the best transit time from Cai Mep to Charleston and Savannah, further improving the logistics network.
The updated ZXB rotation includes Singapore – Cai Mep – Haiphong – Yantian – Panama Canal – Cartagena – Charleston – Savannah – Jacksonville – New York – Boston – Suez Canal – Singapore.
2. Z7S and ZNS Services Covering Baltimore
While the port of Baltimore is no longer part of the ZXB service, it will be covered by ZIM’s Z7S (ZIM Seven Stars) and ZNS (ZIM North Star) services. Z7S will now include an additional stop at Colombo on the back-haul leg, adding flexibility to the network.
The new Z7S rotation is Singapore – Laem Chabang – Yantian – Cai Mep – Singapore – Suez Canal – New York – Baltimore – Norfolk – Suez Canal – Colombo – Singapore.
3. New Stop at Pusan for ZGX Service
Moreover, ZIM’s ZGX (ZIM Gulf Central China Express) service will enhance coverage by adding a stop at Pusan on the back-haul leg, further improving connectivity between Asia and the U.S. Gulf.
The new ZGX rotation will be Ningbo – Shanghai – Busan – Panama Canal – Mobile – Houston – New Orleans – Miami – Freeport – Panama Canal – Rodman – Pusan – Ningbo.
